Homework is a very important component of second grade because children need extra practice with newly learned skills. Your child will be participating in homework activities Monday through Thursday. Homework will be assigned daily and written in the student's agenda.
Along with the daily homework activity, 30 minutes of nightly reading is required.
Below is a list of the spelling activities your child should do with his/her spelling words.
Monday - Write sentences using the spelling words.
Tuesday - Put spelling words into ABC order.
Wednesday - Write definitions of each spelling word.
Thursday - Buy a spelling word.
